Learners in an online asynchronous setting struggled to understand exactly what a director’s concept is and how it manifests itself in a fully staged theatrical production.

I created a self-paced lesson that introduces the relevant concepts and terminology, assesses learners’ understanding of these concepts, and presents them with a branching scenario that asks them to make the same decisions directors would make.

I served as the instructor for the course, designed and developed the SCORM-compliant RLO (in accordance with Section 508 standards), and recorded and edited the audio narration.

Cast, crew, and audience members for Arcadia University's Fall 2025 production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

I wanted to make sure the cast and crew could define autism using accepted and accurate language, identify specific indicators of autism without diagnosing it, and communicate effectively and respectfully with autistic individuals.

I created a short self-paced tutorial that allows learners to absorb accurate and up-to-date information about autism, so they could speak intelligently about it. It also gives learners the chance to apply specific communication strategies in an everyday scenario.

I served as the director of the theatrical production. I designed and developed the SCORM-compliant RLO in accordance with WCAG and Section 508 standards. I also recorded and edited the audio narration.

I needed to introduce online learners to the same material I would present on the history of theater spaces in the face-to-face version of the course.

I created an interactive video lecture - with a brief knowledge check - to show them visual examples of historical theater spaces, using Camtasia’s zoom and annotation functions to draw the learners’ attention to specific elements.

Public Speaking instructors consistently encountered learners who struggled with performance anxiety and wanted to provide these learners with resources to help them overcome it.

I created an online reference guide that provides learners with tips and breathing exercises to help them overcome their anxiety before, during, and after their performances.

I designed and developed the SCORM-compliant RLO, in collaboration with the Public Speaking instructors at St. Lawrence University, and I filmed and edited the video tutorials included within it.

I had developed a technique for introducing the concepts of action and tactic to acting students - The Verb Gauntlet - but I didn’t have an effective way of sharing this technique with others.
